2020 will mark our 7th anniversary hosting the UNITY Networking Mixer series, the perfect merger of professional development and social networking, which is designed to strengthen business relationships within the African American community and to support local entrepreneurs and non-profit organizations. We are scheduled to combine three events into two events: our February 2019 Black History Month celebration with our African American professional association expo and our October 2019 Executive Suite Edition featuring business leaders (target: Greater Orlando Aviation Authority) with our Small Business/Author Showcase. The showcase supports local entrepreneurs (with small or no marketing budget) by providing them with a platform to market their products and services to a new audience.

UNITY Networking Mixer Highlights

  • Panel discussions featuring Orlando’s top “Ladder Builders” who have and are building a legacy in our community. Three to four panelists are selected from our top African American C-suite executives, entrepreneurs, government officials and community leaders and are chosen in relation to the topic of discussion and each panelist exposes new people to the event series.

  • Special recognition: we invite influencers from our community including high profile leaders to attend the event as guests of the sponsor.

  • Expo: complimentary tables given to our UNITY partners and local non-profit community organizations

  • Sponsor tables: highlighting products and services to new customers while strengthening brand loyalty with existing customers by introducing new products.

  • Fundraising/Awareness component: utilize silent auction items to raise funds for non-profits and/or have information tables to educate attendees on various issues.

  • Diversity Champions: invitations will be sent to corporate D&I/ERGs to purchase blocks of tickets

  • Social networking: Music (live entertainers or DJs), catered food and door prizes.
